Preserve the Peace
Hell has no fury like a toddler woken from a nap
So when your little one falls asleep in the car
You gingerly move her one inch at a time
Hold your breath if it will help
But don’t forget to watch your step
The tiniest of stumble could ruin all you are working for
Once you have made it through the threshold you are almost there
Hats, gloves, jackets, and boots can all stay
Now slowly, slowly lower her to the bed
If you are lucky enough to keep her asleep and walk away
Don’t forget to close the door gently
Because hell has no fury like a toddler who is woken from her nap
