Poem: Golden Geyser

Here is an excerpt from a poetry book I am working on titled “Motherhood in the Raw: Poetry that shows what motherhood is really like.”

Golden Geyser

They say that boys’ diapers are hard to change

But I just make sure that I rearrange

The new diaper before I take away the old

Because bad things will happen I’m told

It is like a geyser about to erupt

If you don’t catch it, it will be abrupt

Fortunately, it didn’t happen to me

Grandma got the pleasure of tasting the pee
