You are always there for me
When the world seems not to notice
As I stumble and fall through life
You are always there for me
When clearly I just use you
For my own selfish reasons
You are always there for me
When I am too weak to speak
And you can say it so clearly
You are always there for me
Because your sole purpose
Is to be whatever I make of you
You are always there for me
Through all of my many emotions
Even when I seem to take it out on you
You are always there for me
Because you are poetry
And I am just merely your writer
