Going to her parents for help was not a viable option. She had made this mess and now she would have to clean it up herself. She wasn’t sure what was worse, knowing that if anyone knew what she had done she would never be forgiven or having to make it all disappear and live with what she did without sharing the burden.
She wrapped the tiny body in a tattered cloth and cleaned up all of the blood. Prom queens shouldn’t have to deal with such a disgrace. While holding her breath, she buried the truth that day. (99 words)

Such desperation. She will regret this and guilt will plaque her when she least expects it. Powerful story.
