Flash Fiction – Bucket List

Bucket List

33 years earlier her husband had admitted to an affair. Even though it hurt, she said she forgave him. Time went by and their children grew to be adults with their own families.

After retiring they both decided to travel and check off boxes on their bucket list. When they finally made it to the Grand Canyon, her husband remarked how happy he had been with her.

“Did we get to everything on your list?” He asked as he looked out over the horizon.

“Almost.” she replied.

Then without hesitation, she pushed him over the edge.

“Now it’s complete.”
