Flash Fiction – The Innocence Of Children

The Innocence Of Children

After searching for what seemed like hours, Mary finally found the fish food in the back of her mom’s sock drawer. She knew that the fish needed food and she was going to be the one to feed them.

Before dumping in all of the food, Mary looked around to see if anyone was watching. Her mother was passed out on the couch with a needle in her hand.

Mary felt confused because none of the fish seemed to be hungry. Something had to be wrong with the food. Mary decided not worry and went to feed the dog.
