Poem – Looking Within

Like cool pools of water
Reaching to her eyes
Kissed with blue

More than just blue eyes
Like a flower she will bloom
And rise to the sun
But wilt in the shade

Inside she feels the pains
Of the humanity
And holds tight to the thought
That one day, kindness will prevail

Long locks of red painted over gold
Curves that have a mind of their own
Lips moistened by truth
Finger tips that feel each word

For she is more than blue eyes
She is the world
Or at least what the world
Could be
