Johnny Makes a Splash
It was supposed to be like any other boring field trip to the zoo. The same one we did every year. Only no one noticed Johnny messing with the gorilla cage’s lock with a clothespin. Before we knew it, he had released the gorilla and managed to make a huge splash in the pond inside the enclosure. The teacher had to decide to save one drowning child on this “fun educational trip” to the zoo or keep the rest of us from being killed by Periwinkle the gorilla. No one blamed Mrs. Gonzalez when we went to Johnny’s funeral.
